Erin seriously said it best. If you're going to liken the Jazz to a girlfriend, you have to point out the inevitable embarrassments that you will encounter by having to rely on her, like when she stands you up on a double date so you're left being 3rd wheel to your brother and his girlfriend who, let's admit, is a lot prettier than your girlfriend anyway.

This blog is sadly in need of comments so I will give you one and disagree slightly with where you took the analogy. I think if the girlfriend represents the Jazz, then the visits to her family are not where you fail, but wear you learn her weaknesses. I.E., you find that in the presence of her family she is a spoiled brat. Or maybe the road trip should be to your parents where she completely embarasses you by telling of color jokes at dinner and insulting your mother's cooking. Yeah- that's what the Jazz are like on the road. You brag to your family about them but when you show up with them they just can't live up to the hype and you spend the next day swearing up and down to your parents that you have never seen her like this and she must have been nervous or off her meds.
