Let me clear the air and a Paperclips Recap.
BREAKING NEWS LA WON’T REST STARTERS
I am going to apologize publicly for my little rant yesterday about the new blog that has joined Jazz Town saltcityhoops. I guess I just said what a lot of us were thinking, but said it too fast and without thought or complete knowledge of the situation. Mr. Hall, welcome aboard. After speaking with a few of the other bloggers in JazzTown and getting all the correct info, I can say that I admittedly jumped on the new blog http://www.saltcityhoops.com/ a bit too harsh and a bit too fast.
I was also thinking that Henry (over at Truehoop/ESPN) would pick a current blog for the affiliate blog; not necessarily this one, but one that was already running. Having said all of this, I have decided that any Jazz fan is a friend of mine. We will be linking to Spencer’s new blog and if I can smooth all of this over, hopefully at one point we will have him be a guest on one of the weekly pod casts.
PAPER CLIPS RECAP.
It looked like the Jazz were making the extra pass last night (something that they haven’t been doing over the past couple of weeks). They also had about 20 fast break points. I realize that this game was against the Clippers, but positive play is still positive play.
Is Baron Davis on the wrong side of 30? Injuries and a bad attitude have caught up with BD; maybe its the beard.
Coaching move of the night – Jerry deciding to start Harpring over Ak in the absence of CJ Miles. The decision lit a fire under both players who each had their best games in a few weeks. Harpring had a three play series were he stole the ball twice, blocked a shot, and went coast to coast and finished on a contested layup. AK realized that his jump shot was not falling and started doing all those other things (Circa 2004) that make him good, namely blocks, assists, deflections, rebounds, back side help.
In his last two games, Deron has gone to the line 14 and 12 times respectively. This shows me that first, he is going to the whole harder, more often, and with determination, and second that maybe the refs are giving him some of that star treatment that he has been after for the entire season, and thirdly his ankle is completely healed.
Brewer has disappeared the last two games. If we are going to win any kind of series against anyone, we will need him to get at least his season average, if not more.
The Jazz only shot 8 three pointers last night, which is right at their average. KK and Memo both had a pair and Memo looked like he would have had more had he not got injured.
The Jazz piled up over 100 points, 50 rebounds, 20 assists, and 10 steals last night. I am extremely happy about the rebounding situation because Camby, Kaman, and Jordan are pretty good rebounders.
ESA Insider report- AK was about ten minutes late getting out to warm-ups, which worried me a little, but everything turned out fine.
Before the game Kosta Koufus gave a rallying cry for the playoffs and thanked the fans for coming out and being so supportive during these rough times and throughout the season.
After the halftime show by the Jazz Dancers, the Bear was trying to hit half court shots backwards. After about 15 unsuccessful tries, the players came trotting out forcing him off the court. Ronnie Price came out and proceeded to fire a half court shot and swished on his first try. The Bear proceeded to bow down to Price as the Fans went crazy.
Tonight we move on to the Lakers and we will be having a live chat/feed starting at 8:30 Mtn time. -S

Thanks for sharing with us the fun you had ….
