The Jazz are coming off of a great win for a rookie referee, unfortunately it was a horrible way to lose a basketball game. However, like players always say after a loss, tomorrow is a new day and a new game. You can’t dwell on the loss too long or it will begin to affect the next game. The game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday is huge! Even with the Jazz’ lack of heart in the fourth quarter of the last few losses, they still find themselves a mere two games behind in the Northwest Division. Another possible benefit for the Jazz, Chauncey Billups could be out for Saturday’s game. This would give the Jazz a huge lift that hopefully they won’t find out about until tip-off. But enough about the Nuggets – there are a few things that the Jazz need to worry about if they think that they are going to win on Saturday. Here are a list of things that I believe are crucial if the Jazz are to win:
  1. Memo needs to actually look like he cares.
  2. CJ Miles needs to look like he wants to start.
  3. DWill needs to have a good shooting night.
  4. The bigs need to block out K-Mart.
  5. Mathews (if he really is a defensive stopper) needs to get a hand in the face of JR Smith.
  6. AK needs to slow down Carmelo Anthony.
  7. Coach Sloan needs to ride the hot hand.
This game could either be the Sacramento game at home where we have a horrible third quarter and struggle to overcome, or it could be the Laker game at home where we came to play and worked hard for 48 minutes. I’m hoping for the latter.
