Well let me tell you, Tyreke Evans is a 6"6' rookie point guard out of Memphis who torched the Jazz for 32 points last night and shot 16-19 from the free throw line. Yup 16-19 from the free throw line. The Utah Jazz starting five combined for 16-21, no really, here is the boxscore.

And that's not even why we lost the game. I have to give the rookie some credit, Evans is going to be a good player in this league, maybe even a very good player.
At the 9:47 mark in the second quarter the Utah Jazz led 39-24. At the 11:35 mark in the fourth quarter the Sacramento Kings led 88-68. The Kings outscored the Utah Jazz in the second and third quarters 66-38 and really were a better "team" than the Utah Jazz. When I say that, I mean as a whole they were better tonight. They don't have better players, or  end up with a better record, but they played as a team better than we did last night. I went to the game last night , and actually had some blog followers sit right behind us (shout out to Camille Porter and her "Friend"), but saw a few good things from Jerry Sloan. First, he used two timeouts to try and stop the Kings run, which didn't work but he rarely uses a second if the first doesn't work. Second, and on the podcast we have been begging for this for years, Jerry kept Deron in the entire first quarter and subbed Ronnie in at the beginning of the second (he has done this a few times this year). Deron gets to finish what he started and is by far one of the best 2 for 1 players in the league. Ronnie gets to start fresh in a new quarter and doesn't have to come into a game and feel it out. Even though he has been watching, it still takes a few times up and down the court to get the flow of the game when you come in the middle of a quarter or with only one to two minutes left. Those possessions are not the best when you are feeling out the flow of the game. Hopefully this sub schedule will be continued on the East Coast Trip and throughout the year. Deron played well, but missed some bunnies. I truly believe that Evans at 6"6' bothered him alot. Deron finished with 29-15-3 (less rebounds and more assists my theory may be correct),  and only had 3 turnovers. Boozer had a good night in my opinion shooting 50% from the field with 16 points and 17 boards. Jazz fans its time to get over the whole give me my money fiasco, we are a much better team with Boozer on the floor than without him. The Jazz mad a spectacular comeback to cut the lead to four with less than a minute left but missed a huge rebound that let Kings walk out of the ESA with a win. I am furious. This should not be happening. And a lot of other people are pissed as well, here is proof. Texts while at the game. "What is going on with the Jazz?" "I am just perplexed" "WTF" "Who the hell is Tyreke Evans?" "Are you serious?" "I'm ready to blow up this Jazz team, tank the season, deal anyone not named D-will, Millsap, and Brewer and use the Knicks pick our pick and whatever we trade for to rebuild." "At least this is happening at the beginning of the year instead of the end. That's the only good thing I can take from this" "Does this not feel just like the GS game when they only had seven guys dress for the game" my response "yes, yes it does". and last but not least- "We are going in the wrong direction we got to turn this ship around quickly!"(D-Will). Deron, you are the captain of the ship, it's time to call out the crew and get this ship turned around. I'm still available to go see a movie or something, I can even sneak in the Candy.
