Breaking News-
Deron Williams is a game time Decision and Ronnie Price is out for sure. Obviously this changes things a lot.
Tonight Bill Simmons, I hate you and your team. After tonight you can still be one of my
multiple wives. The Celtics are coming off of four days rest and are tied for the best record in the league (7-1). The Celtics are winning with defense. The Celtics are allowing 84.4 points per game and have the highest differential in the league at + 14.1, in other words, they are dominating there opponents right now.
The Utah Jazz are coming of their first win in New York since 2004. Sure they won, but it was one of the ugliest wins I have seen in a long time. The Jazz let a 21 point second-half lead dissolved and pulled out the win in the last two minutes. The Utah Jazz have not won back to back games since March 28 and 30th of last season (which includes the playoffs).
Few things to look for tonight.
First, will the Utah Jazz play a full 48 minutes? I don't think the Jazz have played a full 48 minutes this season. They looked really good against the Spurs, but I don't think anything less than 48 will win tonight.
Second, How will we react if we get down by 5-9 points. Will we lay over and give up or will we we fight back into the game and give ourselves a chance to win at the end. It will give us a clue on what we can expect from this team in similar situations throughout the season.
Third, look to see how bad or good Deron's back is, its obvious that he is having some problems. His shot was way off against New York and he was laying on the floor during time outs, so its something to look for.
Fourth, the match-ups. In order to win this game we have to win four of the six matchups the sixth being the bench.
PG we have, SG they have, SF they have, PF will be a fun matchup, the Center and Bench we have the upper hand. If Memo can pull Perkins or Garnett out of the key then it will allow the other Jazz players to get rebounds against guys their own size.
A lot of things have to go perfect for the Utah Jazz to win tomorrow night. I imagine that we will be talking about something that we didn't do after the game or a few plays that went the other way.
I love the Utah Jazz but have a hard time seeing the Jazz pulling out a win tonight. Especially with the way that they have been playing for the past few weeks. Maybe this will be a coming out part for the Jazz and we go on a 8-10 winning streak or something amazing. Either way we always have the Knicks pick.
