Pacers Recap
Well, CJ Miles is back…but I’m not sure for how long. The way Mathews is playing, it’s going to be hard for CJ to get on the floor. He did a great job guarding Granger; on one play, he almost stripped the ball from him on the way up for a shot and caused Granger to have to throw up a frozen rope (as Hot Rod would say).
The Utah Jazz got off to a roaring start against the Indiana Pacers, but had a few hiccups on their way to a nine point victory. They let a comfortable lead get down to four and had a few crucial turnovers in the closing minutes.
Boozer looked like an all star once again scoring 35 points and dominating the paint. If he keeps this up, Jazz fans may start to slowly forget about the numerous injuries and numerous bonehead talk show tirades.
I am getting a little nervous about Deron Williams’ play as of late. Don’t get me wrong, he is one of the best guards in the league, but is currently having trouble shooting free throws and turning the ball over.
I’m not sure if AK’s back was feeling all that better. His shooting was off again and didn’t get very many minutes. I haven’t heard any news about why he wasn’t on the floor more, so I just assume either his back was tightening up again or Jerry wasn’t all that impressed with his defense.

So, that brings us to tomorrow night where we get to test our road skills yet again. Even though the Jazz play the less impressive Minnesota PESKY Timberwolves, this will fun to see if our early success on the road will continue. Kevin Love should be returning and he had caused Jazz players problems (mostly with this rebounding) in the past.
Even though Mathews has done 300% more than anyone ever expected, I would still like to see Miles get in the game more and work on his defensive game.
I think it is crucial to get off to a good start in this game. We have to get Boozer feeling comfortable early so that he can pick up right where he left off. If this happens, Millsap will get more chances to get his game going. We are constantly getting cutters and baseline buckets once the defense commits to the double team.
I’m looking forward to a horribly boring game. I want a twenty point win on the road. I want Memo to go off and score 24 points and I want our defense to hold them under 95. If we keep our turnovers down, our field goal percentage up and score more points (right Booner?) we will have no trouble with the pesky wolves tomorrow night.
